Ingredients

Scale

Slider Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls (fresh)
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked crispy and chopped
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped (optional garnish)

Maple Glaze

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken and Bacon: Start by cooking and shredding your chicken—rotisserie chicken works great for saving time. Cook the bacon until crispy, then chop it into bite-sized pieces. Both ingredients form the hearty, savory foundation of these sliders.
  2. Mix the Filling: In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, chopped bacon, ranch dressing, and shredded cheddar cheese. This mixture should be thick enough to hold together but creamy and flavorful enough to melt in your mouth.
  3. Assemble the Sliders: Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms intact. Layer the chicken-bacon-ranch mixture evenly on the bottom halves, then cover with the tops.
  4. Prepare the Maple Glaze: In a small bowl, stir together melted butter and maple syrup. This glaze will create a beautiful, sweet coating on the outside of the rolls, giving the sliders their signature flavor and shine.
  5. Glaze and Bake: Brush the maple-butter glaze generously over the tops of the slider buns, then bake the entire tray at 350°F (175°C) for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese melts and the rolls turn golden brown.

Notes

  • Use fresh Hawaiian rolls for softer, fluffier sliders and better glaze absorption.
  • Don’t skip the maple glaze as it balances the savory filling with a unique sweetness.
  • Layer the filling evenly to ensure consistent flavor in every slider.
  • Cover sliders with foil during the first 10 minutes of baking to prevent over-browning.
  • Let sliders rest for a few minutes after baking to allow the filling to set and make them easier to handle.
