Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • Fresh Strawberries – ripe and juicy, about 2 cups sliced
  • Mascarpone Cheese – 8 oz (225g)
  • Ladyfinger Biscuits – 24 pieces
  • Strawberry Syrup – made from fresh strawberries and sugar (about 1 cup)
  • Heavy Cream – 1 cup (240ml), chilled
  • Powdered Sugar – 1/3 cup (40g)
  • Lemon Juice – 1 tablespoon, fresh
  • Vanilla Extract – 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Syrup: Combine 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 tablespoon lemon juice in a saucepan. Heat gently until strawberries soften and release juices, then simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened. Cool and strain to remove solids, reserving syrup for soaking ladyfingers.
  2. Whip the Cream: In a chilled bowl, whip 1 cup heavy cream to soft peaks. Gently fold in 1/3 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until sweetened and fluffy.
  3. Prepare the Mascarpone Mixture: In another bowl, mix 8 oz mascarpone cheese with 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone until smooth and creamy.
  4. Soak the Ladyfingers: Quickly dip each ladyfinger biscuit into the strawberry syrup, ensuring they are moist but not soggy. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in your serving dish.
  5. Layer the Tiramisu: Spread a generous layer of mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers, then add a layer of fresh sliced strawberries. Repeat to create multiple layers.
  6. Chill and Set: Cover the assembled tiramisu and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld and the dessert to set.

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
  • Don’t oversoak ladyfingers to avoid sogginess.
  • Chill your mixing bowls and utensils for perfectly whipped cream.
  • Allow the tiramisu to rest overnight for richer flavor.
  • Optionally, sprinkle crushed pistachios or almonds on top for added texture.
